Grades 9-12

School Program Javier Esparza

Program Information

Marine Corps Junior ROTC (MCJROTC) is at its essence a Leadership Education Program meant to develop character and citizenship.  Often young adults receive conflicting messages about right and wrong, good and bad.  Joining and participating in MCJROTC can help students make the best decisions based upon learning and practicing core values and the development of character and personal responsibility. These programs motivate students to learn, foster a disciplined and constructive learning environment, and instill essential skills like time management, responsibility, goal setting, and teamwork.  Cadets earn College-preparatory elective credit (G) each year of enrollment: Year 1: Military Science; Year 2: Ethics; Year 3: Leadership; Year 4: Organizational Management.  Cadets in their Sophomore-Senior year earn Physical Education credit.
