Open Enrollment Information for Families

Overview

Creating a SchoolMint Account

Families within our district boundaries must create an account on SchoolMint to apply for Open Enrollment.

Once your parent/guardian account is created, add your student(s) to your account.

  • For students currently attending an SCUSD school: Select “Yes” when prompted, enter your student’s ID number*, first and last name, and date of birth. This will allow SchoolMint to pull in existing information from Infinite Campus, SCUSD’s Student Information System.
     
  • For new students or students attending a non-SCUSD school: Select “No” when prompted and manually enter your student’s information. This data will be verified before entering the lottery.

*You can find your student’s ID number on their report card or by logging into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Application Timeline

Once registered, families can apply for Open Enrollment from February 3, 2025 at 8:00 am through February 21, 2025 at 5:00 pm through the SchoolMint platform. All communications regarding Open Enrollment will be sent through SchoolMint via email, text, or both.

For Students Living Outside SCUSD Boundaries

Students living outside our district boundaries may apply to programs from April 7, 2025 at 8:00 am to April 25, 2025 at 5:00 pm through our permit process.

Out-of-district applicants who meet program requirements will be accepted or placed on a waiting list after qualified in-district applicants, per California Education Code.
