“There is a great deal of misinformation and anxiety in our community when it comes to immigration enforcement and what protections people have,” said Jasjit Singh, SCUSD Board of Education President. “SCUSD will host a series of these “Know Your Rights’ events in all of our trustee areas so we can help our immigrant community carry on with their daily lives, such as seeking an education for their children without fear of separation. The events are open to all Sacramentans, so any community member can come learn about their legal rights.”

The next event is on Tuesday, March 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. in the Rosemont High School gym at 9594 Kiefer Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95827. Translation services will be available for Spanish, Russian, and Dari speaking community members.
