Dear SCUSD Community,

At Sacramento City Unified, we are firm believers that diversity is our school district’s greatest asset and strength and provides countless opportunities for learning and understanding.

To that end, we have many students who may be feeling a wide range of emotions – from anxiety to confusion to anger – because of the deadly violence that erupted in Israel and Gaza over the weekend. 

As a school district, we have an obligation to extend grace, compassion, and understanding to all students and staff who are experiencing strong feelings related to this war.
