The Sacramento City Unified School District hereby gives notice that the following Public Hearings will be held as follows:

Topic of Hearing:
Initial Public Hearing: Charter Renewal for George Washington Carver School of Arts and Science

Initial Public Hearing: Charter Renewal for Sacramento New Technology Early College High School

Initial Public Hearing: Charter Renewal for The MET Sacramento

The district received the renewal petitions on January 31, 2025. 

The Sacramento City Unified School District Governing Board will hold a public hearing in accordance with Education Code section 47605 (b) to consider the level of support for the petition to renew the charters of George Washington Carver School of Arts and Science, Sacramento New Technology Early College High School, and The MET Sacramento, by teachers employed by the school district, other employees of the school district, and parents. Per SCUSD Board Bylaw 9323, Individual speakers shall be allowed two minutes to address the Board on each agenda item. The Board shall limit the total time for public input on each item to 15 minutes.
