It’s summer school enrollment time! Apply by April 30.
SCUSD is inviting currently enrolled TK-8 students to enjoy a summer of fun academic and enrichment activities with our FREE SummerMatters programs!
Students from any school may apply to any of the 27 available sites based on their grade level.
• Instruction by credentialed teachers for academic intervention TK-8
• Middle school participants will engage in sports camps and academic enrichment activities
• Academic & enrichment bridge program opportunities for incoming 9th graders
• Structured learning experiences and special events
• Physical play and exercise
• Building positive relationships
• Free breakfast
Extended School Year (ESY) and high school options, including Summer at City Hall and credit recovery are available.
Parents and guardians will be notified between May 12 through June 6 if space is available for their student in a Summer Matters program. Only for students currently attending the 24-25 school year at SCUSD.

Time: Monday – Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm
Hours may vary by site.
Summer at City Hall
Summer at City Hall is a program that is available to high school students in partnership with the City of Sacramento. Between June 23 – July 24, students enjoy an interactive learning experience learning how government works and the importance of civic engagement. Students who complete the program will receive a $500 stipend. Apply by April 18.
Credit Recovery
Students in need of recovering credit in order to graduate on time can complete most courses online, facilitated by an SCUSD credit recovery teacher. Please see your child’s school counselor to enroll in summer school. Learn more here!
Incoming 9th Grade Bridge and Specialty Programs
Some high schools may offer bridge and specialty programs for students. These programs will be advertised by the school sites and students will be supported to enroll.
