Dear Sac City Unified Families,

At our final meeting of the school year, the SCUSD Board of Education unanimously approved a proposed $720.4 million budget for the upcoming 2023-2024 fiscal year. The District budget is still subject to revision for 45 days after the State gives final approval to its budget.

During that 45-day revision window, the SCUSD Board of Education will deliberate potential areas of student and staff investment. This proposed budget will satisfy the state reserve cap requirement. The District is projected to satisfy the 2% reserve for economic uncertainties and maintain a positive cash flow for at least the next three fiscal years.
