Taylor is the father of two children in Sac City schools. He is an attorney and a CPA. Taylor grew up in New Jersey, Maine, and Southern California before moving to Sacramento where he began his career and started his family. Taylor has a BA from UCLA, a JD from McGeorge School of Law, an MBA from Sacramento State, and an AA from American River College.
Alice Birney School follows Waldorf curriculum and methods. There is a developmental focus that incorporates visual arts, movement, music and nature that augments academics. Teachers are both CA credentialed and Waldorf certified.
Caroline Wenzel serves students in the Greenhaven/Pocket area. It serves a diverse student population from many areas of the globe. John Cabrillo is a small neighborhood elementary school rich in diversity that provides a safe, nurturing environment through a partnership with family and community. We are a Leader in Me school that supports both academic and social-emotional growth. Our school provides many after-school and enrichment opportunities including an excellent sports program.
John F. Kennedy is a four-year college preparatory high school located in the Greenhaven / Pocket neighborhood of South Sacramento. For the past five decades, the diverse representation of students at Kennedy has made for a unique educational experience. SNTECHS is a small dependent charter school with in the SCUSD. Project-Based Learning is at the core of our teaching and learning model with a focus on our 5 Learning Outcomes (Knowledge & Thinking, Collaboration, Written Communication, Oral Communication, and Agency). SNTECHS also has 2 CTE Pathways - Computer Science & Film Production. Some of these courses are also articulate with the local community college.

The School of Engineering and Sciences (SES) is one of Sacramento City Unified School District’s career-themed schools designed to prepare students for careers in science and engineering. The academic program at SES is very rigorous and it requires advanced skills in the areas of critical thinking, technology, communication and collaboration, and organization. All students at SES take an engineering course each year in addition to the standard academic core courses (ELA, Math, History, etc.).
