Committees

  • Alternative Education Task Force Committee - This Committee was formed to identify and recommend alternative education options for student

  • Blue Ribbon Commission- This Commission, comprised of education, business and community leaders, will research, study, and establish goals to specifically address the achievement gap of our African American, Latino, Hmong, and Mien students.  These broad goals will guide our district’s work.

  • Board Executive Committee

  • Board Policy Review Committee

  • Bond Oversight Committee - The BOC serves the taxpaying voters within the district to ensure that bond funds are being spent responsibly on school and classroom improvements and for no other purposes.

  • Board Budget Committee 

  • Career Technical Preparation (CTP) District Wide Advisory Committee - This committee advises the SCUSD Career Technical Preparation Department regarding CTP course development, sequencing and implementation. They inform SCUSD regarding business and labor market trends and they approve the SCUSD Career Technical Preparation plan. The committee is comprised of business partners, community leaders, parents, students, and educators.

  • DELAC - The purpose of the DELAC is to advise the Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent and the governing board regarding their District Master Plan for Services for English Learners.

  • District Advisory Committee (DAC) - The Purpose of the DAC is to provide parents with a strong advisory in the on-going planning, developing, implementing, evaluation and dissemination of information relative to the objectives and activities of the Title I and SCE programs of the school district.

  • Elementary Schools Utilization Committee - The Elementary Schools Utilization Advisory (7-11) Committee is to study all aspects of our Sacramento City Unified School District small elementary schools and to prepare recommendations for the district’s Board of Education that promote the most effective use of our facilities while ensuring quality learning environments.

  • Equity, Access, and Achievement (EAA) - The Equity Access and Achievement Committee is to provide direction and leadership to Sacramento City Unified School District as we eliminate the achievement gap between historically under-served and under-prepared students.

  • Facilities Committee

  • Facilities Re-Use/7-11 Committee

  • Human Resources Contracts Ad Hoc Committee

  • New High School Site Advisory Committee - The District has committed to establish a minimum 500 student small public high school (the “New School”) no later than September 2008.  The New School will offer a non-vocational, college preparatory curriculum.

  • Safety and Violence Prevention Advisory Committee - The Board Safety and Violence Prevention Advisory Committee exists to promote programs to provide safety and violence prevention for students and staff at district sites.
